    1. [TAYLOR] Taylor list splitting?
    2. Del Blanchard
    3. Hi....My TAYLORs came from Scotland through Ireland where I suspect most ancestry of the list members came from. Has any thought been givento the idea that if there is going to be a list splitting, that perhaps it should be along international lines instead of just American? There are lots of Canadian TAYLORs as well (who mostly also came from Ireland or Scotland). ....Just a thought......Syl at del@img.net

    3. I have responded to John's email. And asked for a week or so to give it honest consideration (taking list back) I want to be sure I don't let anyone down. 1. [TAYLOR] Burgess (Bird) Taylor b ca 1800-VA?
    2. Kathy / Ron Dawson
    3. Looking for any info on Bird Taylor, born ca 1800 VA, married Fanny Arden 1822 in Pike Co, KY. Except for marriage and a short stint in Pike Co around 1850, he was located in Washington Co, VA, then Smyth Co when it split off in 1832. He was still in Smyth Co in 1870 living with his son but disappeared after that. I have most, if not all, of their children if anyone is interested. Any data appreciated. Thanks and good hunting, Ron Dawson Bluefield, WV

    1. [TAYLOR] Taylor line - MD to KY
    2. I have 2 brothers in my line: Addision and Wesley Taylor, born in KY ca 1805-1810. Their parents are from MD according to an 1880 census for Scott Co. IL showing Wesley Taylor. Does this ring a bell with anyone with MD Taylor lines? I'm guessing the parents were born ca 1780 or so in MD and moved to KY before ca1805. Thanks Debby Buchanan

    1. [TAYLOR] Scottish TAYLORs
    2. I am researching the TAYLORs listed below, whom I think might have been Scottish. They were Presbyterian. Are any of you researching this group of TAYLORs? If so, I'd love to hear from you! Kathryn John TAYLOR (b. 1767 NC - d. 1854 Baldwin County, AL) He moved to Alabama by 1810. His wife was named Margaret. He had these possible children: Henry, Hiram, Catherine, Simeon, Martin, Thomas, Ward. Henry TAYLOR (b. 1787 SC - d. 1859 Baldwin County, AL) He moved to Alabama by 1810. He was a farmer, who raised cattle and sheep. At that time he was married to Jemima UNKNOWN. He may have had these children by Jemima: Susan, Aaron, Thomas. In 1848 he married Rosana KELLY (b. 1831 Dutch Fork, Lexington County, SC). Henry and Rosana had these children: Caroline (1848), Henry John (1850), Charles W. (1851), Julia (1854), Louisa Matilda (1857), Mary (1859), and Nancy J. (1860). I would love to know the parents and siblings of this John TAYLOR and where in North Carolina he was born. I think Henry might have been born in the Lexington County, SC area, possibly Edgefield, SC or Pendleton, SC. Just hunches. Thank you! Kathryn

    1. [TAYLOR] Subject Line Properly Written
    2. Joan DeFore
    3. Hi List, I think if each of us would identify each message properly in the subject line it would eliminate wasted time reading unwanted/unneeded information. A quick look would show whether we should just delete or take the time to review. The volume of messages ebbs and flows and when the traffic is heavy, a clear subject would be helpful. Thanks for listening, Joan

    2. Dear John, How dare you tell us we cannot talk about Splitsville after all I have seen is a battle over who is the list administrator. But I assume from your end that was very productive. Geneology is our main concern, but in my opinion geneology goes beyond a name. It includes traditions, folklore, foods and more, how our ancestors lived. I will not unsubscribe from this list, but if you remove me, I will have Rootsweb to investigate who was allowed to say what or for who's benefit. Karen Taylor
