    3. Thanks for that information. They are probably all my family, now I wish I knew how to decipher all the stuff. For instance: (((> Hannah & James Hill 1 Jul 1809; min- John Littlejohn (Meth), > 31Dec1809 b- Charles Taylor))) Does this mean Hannah Taylor wed James Hill 1st July 1809 and the minister was John Littlejohn a Methodist minister. Then what does the 31 Dec 1809 b- Charles Taylor mean? Next: (((> Frederick Co., Md d- Thomas Taylor & Caleb? Taylor of > Frederick Co., MD. married in the home of Thomas Taylor of > Monoquesy))) This is definitely my Thomas and Caleb. Does this maybe mean that they were married in his parents house? His father's name being Thomas? Here is where I am stuck!!! He said his ggg grandfather was Charles Taylor b. 1714-1816. Are Charles and Thomas one and the same? I find no Charles to fit. I also find that I may have a Yardley Taylor. Haven't placed him yet. I have some of the others such as Steer;Squires;Hough;Richard;Walker;Cotton etc. I am in genealogy heaven. Hope I can figure it all into my tree. Sorry I ask such crazy questions, but how else will I know? Thanks so much for all, and where did you find it? 3. Does anyone have any information on Taylor's in Maine? I have gone back as far as my great grandfather Daniel Taylor. He lived in Mercer, Maine. He was born about 1850. I found a Daniel Taylor in the 1860 Census but he was only 7 years old. It is not till the 1900 Census that I found most of the Taylor's that included my grandmother. Any information that anyone can share I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance Terri twolf@gwi.net

    1. [TAYLOR] John Tilman Taylor-Texas
    2. Looking for information on John Tilman Taylor born March 29, 1839 in Alabama, date of death was December 13, 1935 and is buried in Friendship Cemetery, Kirbyville, TX. His wife is listed as Marthie V., born December 18, 1853 in Alabama and is buried in Friendship Cemetery, Kirbyville, TX. Children are listed as Nitie Francis, Ida Rosetta Ann, Jennie Aurelia, Callie Sophronia, Johnathon Eugene, Emmet Daniel Cassie, Ollie Devado, Ettie Luvernia, Mary Ethel Josephine, and Travis Columbus. All children thought to have been born in TX. Counties known to be associated with this Taylor family are Jasper, Newton, Tyler, Panola, Karnes, and Leon. I would love to know what Marthie V. 's maiden name was and where they were married. I "think" Johnathon Eugene was married to Rosie Irene and they lived in Orange County, TX. Callie Sophronia was my great grandmother and is buried in Karnes County, TX. Any help with more infor on any of these would be greatly appreciated. Theresa Parker Bellville, TX

    1. [TAYLOR] John Taylor b. abt. 1812 SC, son of Samuel Taylor?
    2. res170v4
    3. I am seeking info on the family on John Taylor. He was born about 1812 in SC. He married a Jane C. Unknown. I found them living in Laurens County, SC on the 1840 - 1870 Laurens Co., SC Census. They had the following children: Mary J. Taylor, James W. Taylor, Robert W. Taylor, William Fredrick Taylor, John H. Taylor, Margaret E. Taylor, Martha A. Taylor and E. D. Taylor. On the 1850 census, John is listed as John Taylor, son of S. On the 1840 census, he is listed as John Taylor, son of Samuel. The writing is squeezed so tightly in the space that it is hard to read. On the same page of each census, living next to John Taylor is another John Taylor, son of R. Are these two kin? John and Jane's son, William Fredrick Taylor married a Martha A. Unknown. They were married by the 1870 census. This family later moved to Franklin County, AL. The 1900 census shows they had three children, but only one was living. This daughter, Nancy Jane Taylor married Dexter Wilson Hargett 20 Mar 1892 Franklin Co., AL. He was the son of George Wilson Hargett and Mary Elizabeth Walker. Is anyone researching this Taylor family from Laurens County, SC? I welcome any help. Thanks, Brenda

    1. [TAYLOR] Thomas Elijah Taylor Sullivan and Carter County, TN
    2. John
    3. While searching for my Great-Grandfather's Pension application I came across the widow's pension application of a Nancy Jane Taylor. Therein she claims she and Thomas E. Taylor were married in Sullivan County, TN on Jan 4th 1869. Another document attached, filed by a witness, claims the marriage occurred around 1874. Thomas E. Taylor is said to have been born June 4th, 1843 or 1848 in Sullivan County, TN. Other documents enclosed refer to Thomas as Elijah Taylor. Thomas is alleged to have died at Carter's Depot, now South Wautauga, Aug. 8, 1903 or 1908. Within the application Nancy says they had 10 children. By 1914 five of the children are dead. Nancy claims her maiden name is Nancy Jane Roberson, and that she was born 11/27/1856 in Yancy County, NC. Ancestry.com does have a Nancy Jane Taylor b. 2/25/1864 in Yancy County, Burnsville, NC. She is the daughter of John Roberson and Mary Elizabeth Kyser. Is there a descendent of Thomas Elijah Tayor b. 1856 Sullivan County, d. 1903 or 1908 Carter County, TN out there?

    3. I am searching for Martha TAYLOR, daughter of Robert and Nancy MARTIN TAYLOR, born presumably in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. Robert came from Scotland with two brothers about 1800. MArtha had several siblings:Polly(Mary), John, Anna, Maria; all of whom are accounted for. We have Martha living with her brother John in the 1850 census with her age listed as 32. A note found in the family Bible lists her as "Aunt MArtha Kline" who died at age 65. I find a MArtha Taylor married to Isaac KLINE in 1856. Does anyone know anything about this family? Would love to compare notes!!

    1. [TAYLOR] ROE or TAYLOR, Wells Twp., Jefferson Co, Ohio, 1800-1850
    2. My 4th great-grandfather was William ROE (sometimes spelled ROWE or ROW), married to Anna TAYLOR, March 5, 1818. I have a copy of a certificate of this. Beyond this, the only information I have about them is that William came to Wells Twp., Oh., about 1800, from Maryland or Virginia. William died in 1849, when the steamboat Virginia exploded, headed "to Steubenville, just as it reached Wellsburgh six miles from Rush Run where the explosion took place" (from The Daily Wheeling Gazette, April 2, 1849, p. 2). Anna TAYLOR was born app. 1800 and was in the 1860 census, but not sure after that, so I don't know her date of death. Their children were: Levi b. 1819 d. 1900 Ebenezer b. 1820 d. 1894 (my line) John b. 1823 or 1828 d. unk unk. boy b. 1825 d. unk Bazilla b. 1829 d. unk unk. girl b. 1830 d. unk Elizabeth b. 1832 d. unk Scott b. 1832 d. 1919 Wesley b. 1834 d. unk Jefferson b. 1837 d. unk Sarah Jane b. 1838 or 1839 Margaret b. 1843 d. unk George b. 1850 d. unk Any connections to the ROE or TAYLOR families would be greatly appreciated!!
