I guess I could go ahead and post my Taylor interest. I am searching for the parentage of Anna Taylor, b. app 1800, believe in Jefferson Co., Ohio. She married William Roe (possibly Rowe) in 1818. After she and William married they lived in the Wellsville area (Jefferson Co.) of Oh. Any new cousins? Thanks! LindaB
I would be interested in checking out Marian Taylor Buchannan's site. Would someone mind sharing the URL? Thanks! LindaB

Thank you Marilyn, I get at least one and usually more virus's a day. I don't know why anybody would take the chance of loosing their records, because they don't have a virus scan, but the worst thing is, they pass it on to any and every body on the list. Mary

Martha in NC, Not sure I can "link" to any of your family, but noticed that you are researching the Taylor and Reynolds surnames and both of these are in my direct blood line: My grandfather George Francis Taylor b. Aug 29 1909 in Bay City MI d. Aug 8 1943 in Monrovia CA father: Ollie Taylor mother: Emma Picardy?Picardot My g-grandmother Rowena (Reynolds) Kemp b. Sep 9 1885 in Pomona CA d. Mar 1980 in Duarte CA father: George M. Reynolds mother: Bittie (Haydock) Reynolds b. Jan 12 1854 in Smithland KY d. Apr 5 1914 in Pomona CA I have extensive info on the Haydock line back to 1480, but nothing beyond George Reynolds. If you think you might have anything on my relatives, would love to hear from you. Thanks so much!! Doug Taylor
You are exactly correct about the spelling of Uptegraff. It began as Op Den Graeff and has been changed many times, i.e. Uptegroves, Uptegrove, Updengraff, Uptengraff, Updegrove - "Corruption" of spelling is a good word! It makes them very hard to trace and PROVE. Martha
Hi Cousin Paul, Ha! I know what you mean about the numerous "cousins". Between the Taylors and the Williams there are many cousins. I have Elizabeth Taylor b. 1757 in Augusta Co., VA d. 1848 in McMinn Co., TN married David McNabb b. Unknown d. 1836 in Unknown. This Elizabeth is the daughter of ANDREW TAYLOR and Elizabeth Wilson, sister to ANN WILSON (my ancestor). Elizabeth Wilson was married 1756 died about 1770. OnFeb. 15. 1770 AMDREW TAYLOR married her sister ANN WILSON (making Ann his 2nd wife). Nathaniel Taylor was born in 1771, which makes his mother, my ANN WILSON. Sorry I did not receive a photo of Nathaniel Green with your email in which you said you were sending it. Please send it to me at MLATCLEM@aol.com instead of going through the TAYLOR website - maybe that is what went wrong. You said <We will have a reunion in July next year in Johnson City. Had one last year year over 1000 came. Most distant was Colorado.> I WOULD LOVE TO COME TO IT! Please tell me when and where. I still have relatives in Johnson City, TN. My mother was born there. Please tell me all about it. I know about Marian Taylor Buchannan's website; have given her some of my family history. Thanks much! Martha
Hi Martha, Have you looked at www.familysearch.com for your David D. McNabb ?? He is there. :-) Bev. in IN
Paul...Let me know about the reunion next July. For years, I have been trying to tie to other Taylors, my Dr. Stephen Taylor b April 1795 (1812 Military Records) place unknown as the Census give different states and his son in Indian Territory 1900 or 1910 gave NY as did a daughter living in Washington State. Stephen m. 1826 in Mecklenburg Co NC to Mary Ann Hartgrove who died in 1843 and then on the 1830 & 1840 Sullivan Co TN Census, moved to Meigs Co TN, and died there in 1864... Married 2nd time to Anma Allison and she is buried in Meigs Co TN (evidently died before too long) 3rd wife Sarenah Hale (dau of Mark Hale) and she died in 1915 in Washington State. A few years after Stephen died, his children and their families went to AR and TX and Sarenah and the younger children went to TX and then to Washington State. Just cannot connect him with parents or siblings. Also another researcher (distant relative) (age 95 and still researching) has done extensive research and also unable to find a connection to other Taylor Families in East TN. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks Gerene in NY At 10:15 AM 7/28/02 -0400, you wrote: >Heres his pic. We will have a reunion in July next year in Johnson City.
