I have been researching my family in Orkney, Scotland and have found that John Taylor, a brother of Margaret Taylor, my great-grandmother, emigrated to California. This family lived in Louisville, KY in eary 1900's. Pictures of their home at 1 Avery Court in Louisvile shows a large and beautiful home. There is also a picture of a farm house taken about 1910. A large family photo taken in 1915 in front of the house on Avery Court shows Henry, Eloise, Duncan, Lloyd, Sr., Mayme, Grandmother Maria Taylor, Sue, Homer C., Aunt Jean, Aunt Doll, Mabel, Uncle Will. The family later moved to Chicago where they lived on Lunt Avenue. Arizona Daily Star Tucson, AZ April 26, 1998 TAYLOR, Elsie Lathrop, widow of the late W.R.K. Taylor, died in Tucson on April 9, 1998. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Elsie and Ralph Conly; her son, Kirk Taylor's widow, Anita Gildersleeve; her niece, Mrs. Neil Van Sloun (Sue); six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. Taylor joined the Tucson Medical Center Auxiliary after her husband's death in 1978 and has been an active volunteer ever since.
