We visited some of this family last month, in the Birchfield family. Rollie was a brother of James Elzie Childers in the last post of Louise's. George Glecian Sewell, son-in-law's family can be found on page 300 of the Taulbee book. Mary Williams was of the Birchfield family, Rollie of the Childers and Buchanan family. Former City Judge Rollie Childers Dies Rollie Childers, 78 of Campton died Monday, June 11, 1984 at his residence. Mr. Childers, son of the late R.A. and Margaret (Maggie) Buchanan Childers was a native of Wolfe County, a member of the United Methodist Church and a member of the Cox Lodge No 465, F&AM, for 55 years. He was a former state highway employee and a merchant. He served as Justice of the Peace, and was Campton City Judge from 1974 to 1980, and served two terms as magistrate. Survivors are his wife, Mary Williams Childers of Campton; one son, Eugene Childers of Winchester; two daughters, Justine Harris of Campton and Geraldine Sewell of Lexington; four brothers, Hoy Childers of Stanton, Ernie Childers and Elzie Childers, both of Middletown, Ohio, and Earl Childers of Morehead City, North Carolina; one sister, Rosa Hollon of Crittenden; six grandchildren, Barry Harris, Brenton Harris, Dianna Harris, Pamela Denniston, Rick Sewell and Sherry Childers and four great grandchildren. Burial in the Evans Cemetery with Porter and Son in charge of arrangements. Carole
