I have started work on the website. The first thing I did was fix the link on rootsweb so that it links correctly to the taulbee pages. Now I have to fix many old mail links that don't work. When I set up the pages I put a mail link on each page and now there are scores of pages with dead links. think I won't do that again. For those who asked me if there was still a website that listed all the taulbee history, there still is a site that listed as much history as we knew when I had to stop. It is most easily reached at http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~taulbee/taulbee.html Just before I had my problems, I put Rose's Book on the site at http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~taulbee/taulbee.html As far as I know, they are all there. I will be checking them all out. I had envisioned a project of correcting and otherwise annotating her book, but for me it became too massive as I was developing it. I think, unless someone has a better idea, the best way to post additions, corrections, etc, is to simply insert endnotes in the text of her book and then create a page of endnotes the reader can refer to. I had two of our nice young ladies say they would help, so as soon as I get the password from rootsweb, we will see how we can best work together. It has been a long time since I have used HTML, and that was on an old version of Netscape composer. Those who do not have Rose's book can simply sign on to the website and save the pages to their own computers. Be sure and save the index. The book is very hard to use without it. Louise made the index about four years ago. There are two of them. One for the Taulbee surname with all spellings, and one for all the other names. Because so many had the same name, use the <find> function of our browser or word processor (you can load the pages into both) to find the page and go from there. OK, will be on this some each day, not sure how much I can get away with. My wife thinks that since I am better, I need to do more around here while she is at word. Heck of a think, a wife thinking a husband should do his part. What's the world coming to? Talk to you all later. Bob
