I have been through all the website pages and index of Rose's Taulbee's book that is back on line on our wibsite. It is the first link on the Taulbee Pages http://homepages.rootsweb.com/~taulbee/taulbee.html There are no corrections or additions to it at this time. It has always been my belief that the work must speak for itself and we should not change what it says, but I have had an idea in my head for several years about how to go about coreection it. See if this makes sense, and if anyone wants to help in just this, let me know. I hope I have it as easy as possible. I am going to make a page on our website to dump in the additions ar corrections to rose's book as I find them in my files, or receive new ones I am going to paste what I have or receive into the webpage in the order found or received without regard to sequence or individual. I am going to number them one up. By each nynber I will place a target (or named anchor, depending on how the webpage composer referrs to them). Then I am going to find the entry in Rose's book that is being added to, corrected, or commented on and place a link there to the number on the correction page. that way, you can read rose's entry and if their ia a correction or addition, click on the link and go right to it. You will have to use the back arrow on your browser to get back to where you were in her book. If I get more than one addition to an entry in her book, I will dump them sequentially under the same number. I had started other ways of doing this, but it got too much for me, especially as I developed my problems. Now another thing, before I became unable to use the computer (I really enjoy eing able to use it again.) I was maintaing several surname boards under the old genconnect project I can't find anymore. I also maintained a board where I had dumped three or four thousand obituaries, mainly Taulbee and mostly from KY. I believe it was called Kentucky Connections. Anyway, I am going to ask rootsweb where they might be, if they still exist. Bob
Bob, Your boards are now Ancestry's message boards. Go to the Ancestry.com homepage and at the top, click on Message Boards. When you get the next page, in the block where it says Find message Board, put the name Taulbee. Click go and it will bring up both your Taulbee message board and your obit board. Just pick which you want. You are still listed, with your old email address as administrator of the Message Board. The Obit board has no administrator listed. You might have to check with Ancestry's help page to get into that if you don't have the password. You might want to check the Taulbee Archives on Rootsweb. http://archiver.rootsweb.com/th/index/TAULBEE There has been a lot of information pass through the list over the last couple years. I don't know if Louise has been keeping track of all this or not. I would have but I don't know enough about the Taulbees to do it. take care, Norma At 01:07 PM 8/13/2004 -0400, you wrote: >I have been through all the website pages and index of Rose's Taulbee's book >that is back on line on our wibsite.
