Born March 22, 1933 in Wolfe County, KY, she was a daughter of the late John L. and Hurley Elkins. Her husband Herbert Hoover Carson preceded her in death. Survivors include eight children, Windle C. Carson, Sr., Ida M. Vires, Leonard Ray Carson, VIckey Lagle, Debbie K. Jones, Charlene Scoggha, and Herbert L. Carson, all of Indianapolis, Indiana; and Lisa G. Weaver of Russell Springs; 31 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren and several brothers and sisters. Burial in the Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood, Indiana.
