Laura E. James, 73 of Middletown, Ohio, departed this life Thursday, June 6, 2002 at Middletown Regional Hospital. She was born in Wolfe County, on Sept. 8, 1928, a daughter of Wm. M. and Pearlie Hollon Taulbee. She was a homemaker and a 50 year member of the Town Boulevard Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel James; her parents, and three brothers in law, John C. Russell, Charles James, and Ollie James; three sisters in law, Ruby J. Carroll, Fannie James, Fannie J. Stamper and Ava B. James. Survivors include one son, Scott James and wife, Debbie, of Middletown, Ohio; a daughter, Wilma Clemons and husband, Jim, of Bloomington, Indiana; a granddaughter, Heather VanNess, and husband, Tony, also of Blommington, Indiana; four brothers, Rev. Armel Taulbee (Betty) of Camden, Ohio, Rex Taulbee (Alene) of Trenton, Ohio, Tyler Taulbee (Barbara) of Middletown, Ohio, and Stanley Taulbee (Janella) of Lexington, KY; four sisters, Clarice Russell of Middletown, Ohio, Dorothy Hollon (J.R.) of West Chester, Ohio, Rosalie Combs (H.P.) of Carlisle, Ohio, and Little Crutcher (Don) of Lexington, KY. one brother in law, Ralph James (Shirley) of Barry, KY; three sisters in law, Elizabeth J. Collins and Dixie J. MacKenzie of Campton, KY, and Yvonne James of Hazel Green, KY. Burial in the Butler County Memorial Park. Note: Little Crutcher should have read Lillie Pearl. Carole
