Hi Carole, I see that you are mentioning the Elkins family occasionally and since my mother was the d/o of Hansford Elkins I have information about them but I do not have certification of any of this. It seems that sometime in the 60's two of my aunts went to Jackson and someone took them to an old man somewhere up a holler who had kept records a bout many families that lived in the area,and among them was the Elkins family, This information was handwritten and some is difficult to transcribe, If you are interested I will send it to you.
