Kidd d/o James and Belle Leslie Danick Nov. 7, 1953 Wolfe Wolfe County News - Nov. 1957 SHORT ILLNESS CLAIMS LIFE OF HOWARD KIDD Funeral services were conducted Saturday morning, October 26 at the home of Dewey Kidd, Lacy Creek, for his brother, Howard Thomas Kidd, age 65, who died in Middletown, Ohio, Wednesday, October 23, after a short illness. Rev. John Dalton officiated at the funeral services which began at 10:00. The deceased was a member of the Church of God in Middletown, Ohio. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vergie Kidd, Middletown; seven sons, Elmer Kidd, Ernest Kidd, Earl Kidd, Jimmy Kidd, Herbert Kidd, and Douglas Kidd, all of Middletown; and Donald Kidd, with the U.S. Armed Forces in Puerto Rico; four daughters, Mrs. Betty Blankenship, Mrs. Bessie Weaver, Mrs. Peggy Nunaker, all of Middletown, and Mrs. Beulah Franklin, Clearfield, Utah, three brothers, Dewey Kidd, Campton; Clay Kidd, Vortex, and John Kidd, of Hazel Green; also four sisters, Mrs. Susie Lyle, Middletown, Mrs. Betty Elkins, Hazel Green, Mrs. Hurley Elkins, Hazel Green and Mrs. Carrie Childers, Campton. Burial was in charge of the B.F. Porter and Son Funeral Home of Campton and was in the Flinchum Cemetery on Hunting Fork of Holly. 1930 Ohio Census Howard T. May 25, 1912 Wolfe to Susan Kidd Wolfe County News - June 20, 1962 Henry Clay Kidd, 66 died at 12:30 a.m. Friday at his home at Vortex after suffering a heart attack. A native of Wolfe County, he was a member of the Church of God. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Orlene Kidd; a son, Charlie Kidd, Campton; a stepdaughter, Mrs. John Stone, Campton, Rt. 1; two brothers, John Kidd, Hazel green and Dewey Kidd, Campton Rt. 4 four sisters, Mrs. Betty Elkins, Bethany, Mrs. Carrie Childers and Hurlie Elkins, Campton, Rt. 1, Mrs. Susie Lyle, Middletown, Ohio; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Burial in the Evans Cemetery. Wolfe County News - March 4, 1969 ORLEAN KIDD PASSES SUNDAY Mrs. Orlean Hatton Kidd, 75, Vortex, died Sunday at a Lexington Hospital after a long illness. She is survived by one son, Charlie Kidd, Campton, and one daughter, Mrs. Odra Stone, Rt. 1, Campton; one sister, Mrs. Polly McQuinn, and five grandchildren. Some of these have had the lines mixed up, have to look down a couple of lines and move them into position. I'm afraid I can't do it with this one. If anyone can correct this please do so to the list so we will all have the correction. Wolfe County News, Week of Nov. 13, 1945 FUNERAL SERVICES HELD AT LANDSAW CHURCH FOR HENRY C. COCKERHAM, ACCIDENT VICTIM Last rites for Henry Clay Cockerham, 50 year old veteran of World War I and farmer of Landsaw, who was accidentally killed in Middletown, Friday night, November 2, while coon hunting, were held Monday morning at 10:00 in the Landsaw Church with Rev. Willie Taylor and Rev. Johnny Dalton in charge. Mr. Cockerham, the son of John Miles and Mary Hackney Cockerham, was born at Landsaw in 1895 and had resided in this county all his life. Early in life he married to Miss Carrie Kidd, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Kidd, of Holly and to their union seven children were born, all of whom survive his passing. Mr. Cockerham, who was honorably discharged from World War I was converted while in the service. He joined the Christian Church and as an active member, has been affiliated with it since 1918. Mr. Cockerham was honored with an American Legion burial with members of the Campton post and several soldiers of World War I officiating. Internment was in the Cockerham cemetery at Landsaw. Survivors include the wife, Mrs. Carrie Cockerham of the home: two sons: Slza, of Middletown, who two sons, Elza, of Middletown, who ing at the time of his death, J.M. of Buchanan and five children, of the home address: his mother, Mrs. Mary Cockerham, of Landsaw, four sisters, Mrs. Bessie Kidd of Lacy Creek and Mrs. Beulah Dalton, Mrs. Laura Hollon, and Mrs. Lula Brewer of Landsaw; two brothers, Claude Cockerham, of Lacy Creek and Clarence Cockerham of Landsaw; and several grandchildren. Carole Wonder if it is two sons, Elza of Middletown who he was visiting at the time of his death and J.M. of Buchanan and five children at the home address?????
