My paternal grandmother was Lousetti Taulbee, d/o John CB Taulbee & Mary Ellen Stamper. Lousetti was born 21 Oct 1885, she was the 4th child of John & Mary Ellen and her mother died when she was an infant. I was in contact with Lousetti's sister Mandy Burton and niece Emma Burton Reece and have several letters from them that have answered some of my questions. I know that my grandmother was married before she married my grandfather John Hatton, but the facts are sketchy. I have 3 marriage certificates, all from Breathitt County that I am trying to verify. 1 Bruce Banks (18) and Loucinda Taulbee(19) Loucinda is the name at the top of the certificate. 1st marriage for both. His parents listed as G.W. Banks and Elizabeth Taulbee, her's list her father as John Taulbee(no mother's name). They were married 27 Nov 1902. The brides name at the bottom of the certificate (signature area) is listed as Lousetti Taulbee.] 2. W.J. Hatton(32)1st marriage and Loucinda Taulbee(22) 2nd marriage. Married 22 Sept 1908. Parents names not listed, but one of the witnesses was Jane Hatton which was his mothers name. 3. Bruce Banks(23) and Kissie Barnett(17) his 2nd marriage her 1st. Parents names not listed. Married 27 Feb 1908. >From this information does anyone out there know if I have the correct marriage certificates for my grandfather and grandmother, or am I chasing the wrong people? The ages are correct and some of the other information I have corresponds but it would be nice to be sure. I could sure use some help. I noticed today that Belinda wrote about Lousetti/Loucinda also, and she is also looking into these marriages, would sure like to get in touch with her and compare notes. She also mentioned a Goose Back, but this was her sisters husband I am replying to that message next under Taulbee Roscoe Taulbee. Thanks for any help. Carol Carlisle
