I recently joined the list and would like to make a few comments about RP in the Taulbee family. According to family lore Rachel Jane Taulbee (Samuel, Samuel, William Hitchcock, Samuel, Edward) stated the disease was in the family when they came over from England. In this line there are many cases of varying intensity all descending from Rachel Jane. Samuel's 4 children all had RP. Rachel was the only one to have children. Of her 4 children, one died as a child, 2 sons had RP, a daughter did not. There has been no further RP in the daughters descendants. The disease continues in the sons lines only by direct descent. Although I do not want to go into details on list, I would like to hear from others who have a personal interest in this disease is this family.
