Page 303 Wolfe County News - April 1956 FUNERAL RITES CONDUCTED FOR JOHN TAULBEE John Taulbee, 62 died at 9:00 a.m. Sunday, April 22, after a seven year illness. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dulley Taulbee, Mary, and two daughters, Mrs. Vic Allen, Campton, Mrs. Nellie Hewitt, Sarasota, Fla., and four sons, Lee Taulbee, Joe and Fred, all of Muncie, Ind. and Bill of Campton, one brother, Lewis Taulbee, Beattyville, three sisters, Mrs. Lyda Taulbee, Mary, Mrs. Susan Bach, Winchester and Mrs. Florence Lentes,(??) Vada. He was a rural mail carrier for 37 years and a member of the Antioch Christian Church. Funeral was held at the residence at Mary, Tuesday, April 24, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Onee Banks and Rev. C.E. Richards officiating. Burial was in the Evans Cemetery with Hearne Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. ALLEN, EDDIE RAY, 53 b. Wolfe County, KY d. A native of Wolfe County, he was the son of the late John Taulbee and Mrs. Dullie Taulbee Sherman. Other survivors include his wife, Mary Taulbee of Gilroy and four children, Lara Jean of Calif., Robert T., Nickie Lee and Carol Ann of Gilroy; two sisters, Grace Allen, Campton and Nell Jolly of Muncie, Ind., two brothers, Bill Taulbee and Lee Taulbee of Muncie, and two grandsons, Freddie and Michael Patton. Mr. Taulbee was a U.S. Army veteran. Burial in Watsonville, Calif. Dullie Cundiff Taulbee Sherman d. Aug. 8, 1997 and is buried in the Evans Cemetery.
