He and Matilda were separated for sometime before his death. Matilda lived with Lou Ellen and Andrew for a number of years before her death. Once in a while they would visit James. He lived up in Laurel Co.--I think. At least it was up that way somewhere. He had his coffin made and kept it under his bed. Sometimes he would lie down in it to see if if still fit--I guess. We have a picture of him that Cecil's mother had. Somebody had a picture of Matilda, but not sure who--may have been O.C. since that would have been his g-grandmother too.
