Louise-- My husband's g-grandfather was James Birchfield who married Matilda Rose dau. of Anderson Rose, s/o Samuel Rose, s/o John and Rebecca Bowen Rose. James goes back to the Birchfield's who came from NC and who intermarried with the Taulbee's--although my husband is not related to the Taulbee's that I know of. Could be way back somewhere, but not that I am aware of. I think James was the son of an Adam Birchfield, but I would have to go back and check my records. Bess
