Page 196 Rose thinks maybe Nancy G. Sebastian is the daughter of Margaret. 1880 Morgan County Census Leander C. Elam 22 Catherine 21 Lou E. 03 Per Morgan Marriages Leander C. Elam md. Martha F. Nickell on May 8, 1874 And if this is the same Leander, He married Nancy C. TAULBEE on Sept. 19, 1875 I do not think below was a Sebastian but a Taulbee, but I have no ideal who her parents were. I can not find them after the 1880 census. Have this info from Morgan County Marriages LEANDER C. ELAM Born Md. 9-19-1875 Morgan County, KY Died NANCY G. SEBASTIAN d/o Margaret, Wm.B., Wm.H, Samuel (I hope) Born 1846 Died Children Nancy G. - Nancy Gillean Carole
RE: > 1880 Morgan County Census > Leander C. Elam 22 > Catherine 21 > Lou E. 03 __________________________________ Carole : On Lou E. (Ellen)'s death certificate, Leander (actually Leandrum) Elam is listed as the father and Catherine Elam as the mother. Lou Ellen married F. M. (Francis Marion) Bailey. They had several children, but one daughter, Verna, married James Willard Taulbee, son of James Cornelius Taulbee and Margaret Taulbee (d/o Elizabeth Dunn & James Perry Taulbee). Willard and Verna are the parents of Rudene Taulbee... In Lou Ellen's obit two brothers are listed, Sam Henry and Bernie. Bernie has to be a half brother, cause he was born in 1910, Lou Ellen was born in 1877. I couldn't find a bd on Sam Henry. Therefore, my deductions are that Leander was married more than once. But, to whom I don't know. I did find several wives listed on Rootsweb or maybe LDS. I don't remember which one. Also if he is 22 on the 1880 census then he was born about 1857 or 58. Hope this helps some. Carole Sue (your namesake) LOL
