Dear Louanne, I have been collecting Taulbee information for some time. When I saw the Ohio Death notice I just put it together. I too am related to the Taulbee's. My Grandmother was Sabina Ann Taulbee who married Henry M. Smith aka as John Henry Smith. Her father was Henry Wayne Taulbee and her mother was Lucinda Allen. William (Bill) King, age 99 of Lexington, KY (formerly of VanCleve, KY) passed away Wed. April 9, 2003 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. Born Nov. 25, 1903 in Breathitt County, Ky he was the son of the late Taylor and Dulcena Smith King and the widower of Susie Taulbee King. He was a retired farmer, a member of the Philadelphia United Baptist Church from 1927 until it closed and then a member of the Brushy Fork United Baptist Church. Survivors include six daughters, Mary White and Dessie Londergan both of Dayton, Ohio, Viola Dunn of Lexington, KY, Ruth and husband Carson Rowe and Betty and husband Charles Neace all of North Judson, IN, and Ruby Tolson of Knox, IN: two sons, David and wife, Cora King of Trotwood, Ohio and Paul and wife Sandy King of Vancleve, KY; 20 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren and several step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Bill King, Jr. and four sons-in-law. Born at Lee City, in Wolfe County, KY on Friday Aug. 8, 1902, Vina was a daughter of the late Clay and Rhoda Dunn Rudd. In addition to her parents, Vina was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Smith on Feb. 24, 1984; four daughters, one son, five brothers and one sister.
