Dudley's father Bishop is recorded on page 54 of Rose's book CAMPTON - Dudley Darrell Taulbee, age 64, of 1525 Old Kentucky 15, Campton, KY died Sunday, November 9, 2003 at Bowling Green Medical Center, Bowling Green, KY. A native of Wolfe County, he was the son of the late Bishop Brooks and Ida Rakes Taulbee and a retired diesel mechanic. Darrel is survived by two sons: David and wife Sandy Taulbee of Stanton, KY and Phillip Earl Taulbee of Lexington, KY; two sisters: Carole Sue Collinsworth of Campton, KY; and Anna Jo and husband Kenneth Spencer, Smiths Grove, KY; one granddaughter, Brandy Nicole and husband Chris Henderson; three step grandchildren: Andreana Ratliff, Brian Brewer and Rebecca Horn and four step great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday by Rev. Terry Barnes at Campton United Methodist Church with burial following in Miller Cemetery. Visitation is after 5:00 P.M. Tuesday at Campton United Methodist Church. Arrangements are by Hearne Funeral Home, Inc., Stanton, KY.     3. Hi, I found this at: http://www.legacy.com/ Raymond's father Elijah Tipton Taulbee is found on page 120 of Rose's book. Raymond T. Taulbee, 83, of Weston, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2003, at his home. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 20 at the Vaughn Funeral Chapel in Weston. Visitation will be 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, August 19 at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Weston. The family suggests contributions be made to North Care Hospice or the First Baptist Church Meal Fund. Raymond was born on November 1, 1919, in Weston, where he lived his entire life. He married Winifred L. Chapin on July 30, 1941 in St. Joseph, MO. Raymond served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, from March 1942 to November 1945. He worked for General Motors for 30 years, retiring in 1981, and was a member of the United Auto Worker's Union in Kansas City. Raymond enjoyed spending time with his family, and was an avid fisherman, enjoying yearly trips to Minnesota. Raymond was preceded in death by his father, Elijah Tipton Taulbee, mother Lida Ball (Nichols) Taulbee, one son, Kenneth Ray Taulbee, two brothers, Roger and Bill Taulbee, one sister Lucille Lewis, and one grandson, Darrin Clemens. Raymond is survived by his wife, Winifred L. Taulbee, of the home; son Tommy Taulbee and wife Beth of Platte City, MO; daughter Ellen Taulbee of Weston; daughter-in-law Ann Taulbee of Weston; two sisters, Maxine Collison and Lida Mozola, both of Weston; five grandchildren, Kenny, Taryn, Brad, Nick Taulbee and Kevin Clemens; and four greatgrandchildren, Kody and Tanya Clemens, and Kacie and Kailyn Saxer-Taulbee. She was born on July 10, 1924, in Middletown, Ohio, and was a lifelong resident of the Germantown area. Mrs. Taulbee was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur M.     3. KENNETH PROFITT, 66, passed away from this life at 2 a.m. Saturday, April 10, 2004, with his family by his side. A life long resident of Wolfe County, he was born March 13, 1938, on Big Andy Ridge near Rogers, KY, the youngest son of the late Ernest and Ellar Hobbs Profitt. He is survived by his wife and life long companion, Norma Rose Profitt (dau. of James Ernest Rose and Viola Taulbee Rose), of Campton; his son, daughter-in-law and grandson, Kenny, Sherry and Seth Profitt of Rogers, KY. Other survivors include one sister, Geraldine Woods and husband, Woody, of Xenia, OH; three brothers, Merle Profitt and wife, Juanita, of Indianapolis, IN. Frank Profitt and wife,Virginia of Rogers, and Fred Profitt, also of Rogers; his mother-in-law, Viola Rose, of Campton; two brothers-in-law, Wendell L. Rose and wife, Shirley, of Campton, and Walter C. Rose and wife, Marica, of Carlisle, OH; and a sister-in-law, Bess Rose Miller and husband, Cecil, of Trenton, OH. Many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins also survive. Upon graduating from Wolfe County High in 1956, he joined the Army and served his country two years before returning home. He then spent the rest of his life as a self-employed businessman. From 1963 until 2002, he owned and operated Profitt's Garage at Leeco, Profitt's General Store, Parkway Furniture, and Parkway Carpets, all of Campton. During the 1970's he was elected and served one term as mayor of Campton. He was active in the Jaycees and again served his country as a member of the local Selective Service Board. He remained a member of Torrent Masonic Lodge #711. Throughout his life, he enjoyed a reputation of honesty and fairness in all his dealings. The one hobby that he passionately enjoyed as a young man was playing his banjo and guitar. For many years every weekend a large number of musicians and others would gather at his farm on Big Andy Ridge and be ' a-picking and a-grinnin' " to the wee hours of the morning. Visitation was held Monday, April 12, 2004 after 5: p.m. at the Shackelford Funeral Home; also after 11:a:m. Tuesday April 13, at the Campton First Church of God. Funeral services followed at 1:00 p.m.at the church with burial in the Evans Cemetery, Campton, KY, with Shackleford Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Casketbears were his nephews: William Ernest Profitt, Fred Profitt, Frank Keith Profitt, Donald Wade Profitt, Gregory Scott Profitt, and Randall Todd Stone. Carole May 9, 2004 Middletown Journal, Middletown, Ohio Maggie Cole Maggie Cole, 87, of Middletown, died Friday morning at Middletown Regional Hospital after many years of heart and respiratory problems. She was born Sept. 24, 1916, in Campton, [Wolfe County], Ky., the daughter of Richard and Dora Childers. Maggie retired from the central kitchen of Middletown High School in 1982. She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church for many years and was a member of the Jolly 60's. Mrs. Cole is survived by two daughters, Sharon Thomas (husband, Paul Clark) of Fairfield, who was her mother's caregiver for many years, and Vondie Kneisel of Alpharetta, Ga.; two sons, Terry Cole (Alex) of Middletown and Eddie Cole (Ida) of Trenton; and a sister, Opal (Don) Slaughter, of Dunnellon, Fla. Maggie was known as "meme" to all her nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Otis Cole, in 1974; a son, James "Kenny" Cole in 1998; six brothers, Herbert, Edgar, Clarence, Shirley, Richard and Orville Childers; and two sisters, Eva Strong and Garnett Fox.
