Jackie - If you run into a Julia Florance Tate or Julia Franklin Tate Born in 1823 supposedly in New Albany, Ind which is on the Ohio river. I have been unable to find a record of her birth or exisitance prior to her marrying John William Roberts who was a riverboat captain. They are buried in New Albany near his parents - William Roberts who was born in 1788 in Lincoln Co., Ky and Sarah Childs born 1800 in Maryland. A family story surfaced 2 years ago claiming she was raised by a family named Peck, but I haven't found a trace of them either. I even have a picture of her and a brother - no name on the picture for the brother. Any thing would be helpful. I have been looking for several years and just hit brick walls all the time. There was a Rev.Tate - a picture of him for sale on ebay. I emailed the people with some questions and they never answered me - I don't know what era the man lived where and his age...
