Sharon, Jane Little McEndree here. I am related to Tates on my Mothers side of the family from her Mother. My Tates came to live in north Texas but before that they lived in Pope Co. Arkansas and other areas around there in Arkansas also. Before that my Zachariah Tate was born in Davidson Co., Tenn. His father, Joseph B. Tate was born in Orange Co., N.C. Joseph's father, Robert Tate was born in abt. 1773 in Louisa Co.,Va. and the Tates on back from there were from Va. and then England before that. I don't know if any of my Tates could have been in Ky. or not. With Va., Kentucky and Tennessee so close it stands to reason that they maybe connected in some way.
