Ann, Thank you so for the info, it goes with what I had and I will also, give you more info on David Tate, my husband from his line. For years I questioned the census of 1860 and 1870 on David's wife, Sara Ann in 1860, Sarah Amanda in 1870 and a difference in age of several years. Seems Sara Ann Moore died during his Civil War service, after the war he married Sarah Amanda Halstead. Then in 1890's he divorced Sarah Amanda in Payne Co., Ok.Territory, married Mattie Zundal Oct. 28, 1894. From his Civil War pension data, we learned these details. Then in 1899 he suffered strokes, returned to Kansas and to read his obit, he had never divorced and married in Ok. Both tried for his pension, but don't think either ever was successful. He and first wife had a son named Wesley, who lived to about 16 and died. Think I have data on death dates of some of James other sons, as several came to Cushing and Stillwater, Payne Co., Ok. where we live now. I'll get out my papers if you wish for your data.
