Shelia, Wish I knew the parents of James, know he was born in 1807, was married on 8 Apr. 1826 in Harrison Co., Ky. They had William A. Tate, 1830, Ky; Eliza J. Tate, 1831, m. John Scalf in 1856 in Coles Co. Ill.(they in turn went to Putnam Co., Mo. where David was in 1858 when he married his first wife), Richard B 1832, Ky; Thomas Tate 1834 in Indiana; Francis Marion 1836 in Cole Co., Ill., David W 1839 Cole Co., Ill., Granville 1842, Willis 1844 and John 1846. Someone else had thought the possibility of that line you mentioned. I haven't worked on it for a while but saw how active the TATE list is, so thought I'd throw out this info. Thought someone might recognize the Adam connection for the area. The one's who had previously worked on the data had only conscentrated on Wm. A. Eliza, and Francis Marion, and not prior to who the parents of James and Paulina were. Nor have I been able to locate their burial. In 1870 they were in Allen Co., Kansas with David and young John and Willis. But have looked at the cemeteries where David and Thomas are buried, but not there or other nearby cemeteries. Anything known on the parents of your William would be most appreciated.
