Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit How did you attend a family reunion in MS wirhout leaving LA?8>) I do not have a photo of Samuel Willson. You have it. Which Tom Tarver you speak of?If it is Big Tom Tarver, grandson of John Jenkins and Agnes Jane Gunn,I would be interested because he was also a Union soldier and believed by some to be a brother of Dempsey. Also Tom's Brother Joseph supposedly researched his line and left the papers with someone and this fellow in Deville may have them or know where they are. Yes I have heard of Jimmie Sue Breeden.I may even have some old letters from her. First let me say that Bible Records and church records are not the most reliable source of documentation. It would be difficult for me to list in order the most reliable sources but Bible and church records would certainly be at the bottom of the list.Compare:Study all this. 1.Lott,son of Thomas? Tarver and Judith Cockerham,b.1820d.abt 1866. Scource for death year:Index of estate papers of AmiteCo(1809-1866)File 182.This file states aat the begginning that he died in 1846,A typo, because it states later that he died 1866 and his estate was advertised for sale that same year.Neither could he have been granted guardianship of Benjamin's minor children in 1947. This is the only Lott I found in MS.There was a Lott and a Byrd in GA.Byrd was JP of Minor Court,I don't recall the county in GA nor the exact time. 2.Benjamin,son of Thomas? and Judith Cockerham Tarver,b.1810 d.26/12/1866.Children:Albert G.,James L.,Lucinda, and Mary L. 3.Dempsey,b.1800 pb.SC d.1854 in MS.That is about all we are sure of.Which Benjamin is his father?Perhaps it was the Benjami that was granted a passpot in GA on Wednesday,23,Dec,1801 along with John and Samuel Harris and their familes.(too bad the Childrens names were not on the passport) It is also believed by some that the Allen Tarver that m.Elizabeth Coskerham was a brother to Dempsey.Somewhere I have in my files a date of his birth.I recall that he was old enough to be Dempsey's father. I have met Mike Tarver he also had a business in Many.He is line is from Jobe Tarver of Sabine Parish.I don't know how we connect.I have some paper files he and a lady from Monroe gave me at the Fort Hill Reunion.I will look through them when I get timeI heard about the Thesis several years ago. Talk to you later, Uncle Carroll --------------32A9E1217075896A4AC362AE--
