Imagine my surprise when I discovered what interesting ancestors I may have. My grandfather was Allen B. Tarver, brother to Dudley Tarver in Oakdale, La. His first marriage resulted in the birth of my uncle Vernon, (who moved to California, and had a HUGH family). However, Allen later married (I assume) Lillie Pearl Spell, and had my father, Ashley Briton Tarver. There was also a twin born dead, at the time. Anyway, Lillie was a professional photographer in Lafayette, La. We have many old photos taken by her of relatives that we have no idea who they may be. ....
