    3. The Canton of Aargau in its present-day boundaries came into existence through the Act of Mediation issued by Napoleon in early 1803. It combined the former Berner Aargau (the part until 1798 administered by Berne), the Fricktal (formerly Austrian territory) as well as Baden and Freiamt (until 1798 under joint administration by several cantons). When your Michael Huber was at one occasion listed as having been born in the Canton of Berne there is a high likelhood that we are talking about the Berner (Bernese) Aargau. From there on you could probably safely concentrate your search on communities in this part of the present-day Canton, mainly Mülligen / Oberkulm / Reinach AG / Unterkulm / Windisch. Peter W.
