In a recent message Harold Hernderson tells BTW that he is pleased to find that the 1850 census in this "bezirk" contains more information. Are Swiss census available anywhere on the net? I sure could use such information in my hunt for the ancestors of Joseph Keller. Speaking of the proverbial "Brick Wall", I've really hit it with Joseph. I can't find his naturalization papers, the date he crossed the pond, nor can I get emigration information from Thurgau. Maybe the census would help establish when he and/or his parents were no longer in Bussnang.
I would be interested in any records from Switzerland. I believe my great-great grandfather, Joseph F. Baldus, his sister, Josephine T. Baldus and his mother, Josephine Schultheiss/Schulthaes were born in Switz, Canton Switz (not certain of spelling) but don't know how to verify it. Does anyone have any good suggestions on how to locate birth records? Conni in Ohio
