    3. By searching (I prefer www.google.com) on the village name and zivilstandsamt, you will most likely find a webpage and associated address, and possibly e-mail address. Canton Bern Zivilstands�mter addresses for all BE villages are found at: http://www.ghgb.ch/deutsch/frameset_zivil.htm which is part of the Genealogical Society of Bern's (GHGB) website. http://www.geocities.com/swissschmutz/chpostal.html links to a list of the villages and associated cantons (and postal codes) to try and locate the villages listed below.
