Does anyone know what church I should write to for the village of Seon, bezirk Lenzburg, Aargau for records prior to 1781? I think I've gotten all I can from the Staatsarchiv Aargau and from the Standsamt Seon (tho the latter has not yet responded to my recent request for some familienscheins). According to www.genealogienetz.de/reg/CH/kibu/#ENGLISH8 "In the Protestant (Reformed) areas of Switzerland, mandates were issued in 1525 by the Church leaders to keep christening records. In some of the older churches, the baptismal records go back to 1528..." What are my chances, do you suppose, of getting records back to 1528? Seon, in a Reformed area, belonged to Bern prior to 1803. The Staatsarchiv Aargau provided me info back to a Mar 1781 birth. Jane in AZ
