Dear John and list, The Jenny name is certainly a familiar Glarner name, so whatever evidence you have that your ancestor was from Schwanden has a high probability of being true. The archives at Glarus are wonderful and have extensive genealogical records. If you can prove your connection to the ancestor born in Glarus, you will likely be able to trace your family back to the 1600's. I have not done any research long distance with the Glarus archives, so perhaps someone else can help out here.
