    1. [SWITZ] RE: Family Meyer from Berne
    2. Hi Randy, I have a Christine Meyer who married into our family. She married Frank (Francis, I think) Joseph Biry. Haven't found their wedding date yet, but I do have the birth dates for two of their children. Their daughter Catherine Biry, was born 2-14-1844 in Berne, Switzerland. Sometime after her birth they moved to the states in 1844. I'm not sure where or when they arrived here, but they settled in Wisconsin for a while and then moved to Pontiac, MI. Their second daughter Mary Biry, was born in Pontiac, MI on 3-22-1848. They might have had other children that I haven't found out about yet. The information that I have on these two sisters is from the Catholic Church because they both became Nuns in Monroe, MI. I plan on writing for Catherine Biry's birth certificate and hope that there will be some more information that might help in my search. If I find out anything else about Christine Meyer, I'll be sure to let you know. I'd love to find out who her parents were. Good luck in your search. Barbara Sepos

    3. This is off the subject. Please forgive me, but I need to know how you discovered that these sisters were nuns? Family story has it that one of my great aunts became a nun, but I have no idea what order, and can only make an educated guess as to the date and locale. Is there a national archive in the Catholic church that would list those who joined any order? ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, September 27, 2002 11:37 PM Subject: [SWITZ] RE: Family Meyer from Berne > Hi Randy, > > I have a Christine Meyer who married into our family.
