Hello List Friends, this is my first post and I need help. I am trying to trace my g mother's early life before she emigrated to the US sometime after 1875. She was the daughter of Fredric Arnold Albrecht KACHELHOFER and Rosalie Sophie Carline GRUNDER. She was born in Interlochen Berne Switzerland on 18 Mar 1858. She married Joseph Halberg in Köln, Germany 11 Nov 1874 (at 16 yrs). Her family emigrated to the US before 1871. I do not know what happened to her husband Joseph Halberg but she married my g father Ernst Ulrich WINTTER 21 Aug 1881. Some records show the marriage taking place in Württemberg, Germany. However her family had settled in Florence, Alabama where other siblings were born. I guess I am looking for the circumstances of the first marriage and how, when and where she met and married my grandfather. Any help that you can offer will be appreciated.
