In searching for Dietrich family of Bern Switzerland I found the following, and am hoping that someone out there might be able to help me out. >From my gggrand father Friedrick Dietrich emigrated to Australia in the late 1880's. His birth date is 7 November 1843 in Bern, Switzerland. His parents i was told were Jacob Dietrich & Maria Elizabeth Anker. From doing some searching myself i located a Johann Jakob Dietrich born Abt; 1814 in Gampelen, Bern, Switzerland who married Maria Anker in 1843. Maria was born 27 November 1818 in Ins, Bern Switzerland. I can find nothing more on Johann but i have found parents listed for Maria as being Jakob Anker & Margaretha Probst.
