Hi to the Switzerland list - I hope someone here can help me. I'm trying to trace my mother's TYLER family from London, England. Her grandfather was Phillippe William TYLER b. 1864 in Kensington, London and latest news is that his father (also named Phillippe William TYLER) was German. Because of the spelling of Phillippe, I have a strong feeling this line came from somewhere with mixed German/French influences. My mother's aunt Louise TYLER (born abt 1893 in Stepney, London) married a Swiss German chap called Jacques JAEGER so I think this may be a clue. The TYLER name was possibly THIELE or something similar originally. Jacques and Louise JAEGER lived in Lytham St Anne's, Lancashire, England and Jacques was Head Waiter at the old Imperial Hotel which is no longer there. They had 4 daughters: Louise, Elizabeth, Jacqueline and Joan, all born in the 1920's in Lytham. Hope this rings some bells with someone - any connections or advice on how to research the Swiss JAEGERs would be gratefully received. Celia Renshaw in Nottingham UK
