    3. In reviewing some Swiss notes I came across this comment about Fraktur script. Protestant records were kept primarily in German which include Swiss dialect forms and influences from the Latin in early registers. The handwriting was in the Gothic script or "Fraktur." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now my question is this? Say before 1750 - was this Fraktur script commonly used for Protestant church records throughout German speaking Europe - or was it more common in Switzerland? Regards Hal
