Hello list, I am wondering whether Switzerland issue death certificates that can be purchased, in the same way as they do in the UK. If so, can anybody tell me how to go about getting one. I am looking for details about the death of my (British) grandfather, William Dixon STUBBS. According to the British will indexes, he died on 22 July 1935 at Agra Sanatorium, Lugano, Switzerland. He was a British subject, born July 1892 in Carlisle, England, who had previously been working as an engineer on the railways in India. We know very little more about him than this.
