Hello, I recently received information that a relative of my ancestor was born 1817 in "Wattersweier" Thurgau Switzerland. I cannot find a town with this name in Thurgau, all of Switzerland, or anywhere else. Either Wattersweier is a really bad misspelling or perhaps it was an area incorporated into a larger town?? Georg Theodor SCHNEIDER, b. 26 Apr. 1817 in "Wattersweier" in Thurgau (Switzerland). Any suggestions for tracking this person? While not new to genealogy, I am new to Swiss genealogy.
