Hi Jerry, Mine all came from Glarus: came mainly from Betschwanden, Luchsingen, Braunswald. Some way back in 1700's came from Rueti and Sool. Names are : Fuerer, Hefti, Klaesi, Knobel, Kundert, Luchsinger, Specht. The line came to New Glarus in late 1840's early 1850's and settled right there. First ones left via down the Rhine to Holland, later ithers left via Le Havre.
