One of the pages there describes "Familiennamenbuch": http://swiss.genealogy.net/famnam-m.htm which is very likely not what you (Jeanie) seem to be expecting: it just lists communities where people of a certain surname hold citizenship (as of 1962), and since when. Check http://www.geneal-forum.com/forum_d/showthread.php?id=288 for an example. This information is very useful if you don't know where to start your research - but does not give any data on individuals. In your case Familiennamenbuch can only confirm that Strub have been citizens of Recherswil SO since the 19th century. Best regards - Wolf
