I am trying to find out which of the following surnames are rooted in villages in Baselland. Some I believe I know: Brugger in Muttenz, Tschudi in Sissach, and Buser in Ruemlingen and/or Bubendorf. But how about Danner, Beiler, and Ruber? Is Neuenschwander limited to Bern? There is a group of men whose names appear clustered together on the ship's list of the "Crown", which sailed into Philadelphia in 1749. Thanks very much. Dale Bricker
