Hello evrybody, Did anyone heard of the name URI, URY, or d'URY in Switserland? I can't find anything about them there. There was a family URI in the Kanton URI but they were long before the Hugenots in Switserland. My family's name was PORTILLE from LYON en they flight to Swiss, were they changed their name in URI. This was about 1670 . My vor-vor-father Ysak ........? URI was born in Swiss. And also a Pierre and a Jean. Ysaks wife's name was Marie Cüdick. Maria Elisabeth is also a familyname and Frederic.
