Not that it matters much, but if you wish to be consistent in which language you mentioned Bern/Berne, here it is: Kanton Bern = in German Canton de Berne French Cantone di Berna = Italian Canton Bern = English BE = postal code for Kt. Bern Since Kanton Bern is in the Swiss German speaking region of CH, it seems to make sense to write it in German, unless your text is totally French or Italian. Kanton Bern is kind of on the cusp of French speaking Switzerland and therefore many Bernese are bi-lingual (Bi-laengs). Of course there is also the city of Bern, capitol of not only Kanton Bern, but also the seat of the Swiss Federal Government.
