As I'm sure you know, Switzerland is a multilingual country. It is my understanding that "Bern" is the German spelling and "Berne" is French. Since "Switzerland" is the name we English speakers give to the country, I think either "Canton Bern, Switzerland" or "Berne Canton, Switzerland" is equally correct to designate the location in English. - Judy I come across addresses like: Bern....... and Berne......which is correct?
