I am researching the name Sch�tz. My great-grandfather was Jacob of Bern, Switzerland. His son, Jacob, Jr., was born in the Canton of Berne in April 1820. He and his wife, Anna Gruber, moved to Neuchatel Canton in 1864 and immigrated to America in 1885 settling in Allen County, Ohio, and then moving to Tippecanoe County, Indiana. Their children included Elizabeth Jacot, Gottfried, Jacob II, Albert (my grandfather), John, Anna Zumbach, Louise Sutter, Emile. I have a wealth of information on Albert, John and Louise, which I will share and am looking for information on the other siblings and also information on the ancestors of Jacob. I know that Elizabeth Jacot and Jacob II lived in the Lafayette, Indiana, area and that Emile may have lived in North Dakota. Any connections? Would appreciate hearing from you. Thank you.
