This is all the information I have at present on my Windlin ancestors. I am descended from Katherine. She was my grandmother. These bits of information were gleaned from letters and death notices, to my father, from relatives in Switzerland. I did not become interested in genealogy until some time after he died, and he was the only one in his family to come to the U.S. His Aunt Josephine apparently took him in temporarily, when he came here. Katherine's children were mostly born in different towns in Obwalden, so it is possible that is where these Windlin's were from.
