Donna, the town you need is almost certainly Aarau, with two a's at the start, which is in Canton Aagau. This names in turn are related to the river Aare, which flows through Canton Aagau and into the Rhein at Koblenz in Switzerland, which is about 3 miles from my home. Jon in Ettikon
