I have been very fortunate in receiving quite a few funeral notices that were mailed from Switzerland to my husband's grandparents in Goshen, CT, USA in the early 1900's. There are 3 which mention different surnames than his, and may have been mailed because they were family friends. At this point, my research is just not that far along. They may all be related to his line. I will be glad to share these 3 if I can. They list many family surnames, and could be quite valuable to someone. They are too lengthy to transcribe to the list, but I will post the names below. Contact me if they mean anything to you, and I will work out a way to share them. Oh, they are written in French. Madame Caroline MATTHEY, nee BACHMANN died Grand-Chaumont, 1907 Madame Isabelle VUILLEME, nee Richard (probably connected to my husband's TOUCHONS), died 1895 apparently in West Goshen, CT. Monsieur Edouard MONNIER-RUFFI, died Prises de Gorgier, 1917. All of these may turn out to be connected to his grandparents, William E. TOUCHON and Marie GRAU. William's parents were Jules-Ernest TOUCHON and Julie-Eugenie RICHARD of Neuchatel. Marie's parents were Alexis GRAU and Elise VON KANEL of Fribourg and Neuchatel. If you are interested, contact me.
