    3. If anyone has any idea on this, I would appreciate hearing from you. My grandmother, mother, aunt came to the US on the RMS Olympic (sister ship of the Titanic) 1912 - they were living in St. Margrethan, SG in 1911 so I believe that they left from there. My mother said that they left from "Holland". I know that the ship ported at England & Cherbourg France -- but how they boarded the ship if they went to Holland remains a mystery to me. I read that the Olympic was too big to actually go into the port at Cherbourg -- so it is posssible that they were brought out to the Olympic by a ship from Holland or -- if my mother was mistaken -- she was only 9 at the time. Or could the ship have made a stop in Amsterdam or Rotterdam? I tried contacting the Cunard Lines but they didn't respond. If they left from St. Margrethan, SG, what would be the probable route? Can you travel by boat up the Rhein from Lindau or would they have gone by train?? Any knowledge in this area that could provide a clue would be great. Sincerely Claire
