Hi Susan, To answer your question: my Detwiler's were from Switzerland and settled in Lancaster Co, PA > Franklin Co > North Woodberry, Bedford Co, PA and spread from there. 1733 - present. My GG Grandfather, Michael Tetwiler, (s/o Jacob > s/o Jacob > s/o Jacob) was born in 1823, married Catherine Ake from Middle Woodberry, Bedford Co, PA and had my Great Grandmother, Lorilla Ida Tetwiler. The family moved to Missouri between 1855 and 1860 where Lorilla Ida Tetwiler married Mark Anders Doty and gave birth to my Grandmother, Lorilla (Laura) Doty.
