Dear BarBara, Moutier & Sumiswald are both of canton bern. Sumiswald is 15 english miles NE of bern & Moutier is less than 25 miles N of bern near the french border. My mother was born in paris,france left at age 9 for moutier,left for USA at age 21 & her maiden name was saucy. There are still relatives there. Still can't read her passenger list what port she left from. There is no LE before the name on the list. Hope this all helps. Best regards-Mabel
